Unser intensive pottery class offers you the unique opportunity to deepen the basics of ceramics with professional guidance and to continue practicing pottery at the wheel. Important is that you know very well how to center 500g of clay.
In this advanced pottery course on the potter's wheel, we will respond to your individual wishes. Our goal is for you to feel secure and handle the clay professionally on the wheel.
You will learn how to center a bigger amount of clay. We particularly focus on making evenly thick walls and special shapes.
We first deal with the shape of the cylinder. Only when we master these can we become spherical or bulbous.
Then it’s time to shape a bowl … and with 1kg of clay you can make a salad bowl!
On the third day we glaze the results together.

About this class:
This course is aimed at experienced throwers (16+). So if you have already taken a pottery course on the wheel and have improved through practice, then this course is right for you.
Otherwise, why not attend a weekend course for beginners. There, your skills will be addressed individually and you can definitely improve your turning skills.
Your clothes should give you freedom of movement and allow you to get dirty. Your fingernails should be a short, practical length.
The course fee includes the material costs (clay, transparent glaze).
Your finished pieces can be picked up from us about four to six weeks later. We will inform you via email as soon as they have been fired. We ask for your understanding that we can't store the fired pieces for longer than six weeks .
In case of cancellation: A course registration can be canceled free of charge in writing via email up to seven days before the start of the course. If you cancel up to 24 hours before the start of the course, you will receive 50% of the course amount back. Missed course dates can not be replaced.
