Unser intensive Töpferkurs bietet dir die einzigartige Gelegenheit, die Grundlagen der Keramik mit professioneller Begleitung zu vertiefen und das Töpfern an der Drehscheibe weiter zu praktizieren. Important is that you know very well how to center 500g of clay. Du musst nicht einen Level-1-Kurs bei uns besucht haben.
In diesem erweiterten Töpferkurs an der Drehscheibe gehen wir individuell auf deine Wünsche ein. Die maximale Anzahl an Kurs-Teilnehmer:innen ist 4. Unser Ziel ist, dass du dich feel secure and handle the clay professionally on the wheel.
You will learn how to center a bigger amount of clay und wie man sicher auf Holzplatten dreht. Besonders konzentrieren wir uns auf das richtig ausgeführte Coning und auf das Herstellen evenly thick walls. Unter Coning versteht man das Hochtreiben des Tons in eine Kegel-Form, die anschließend wieder zurückgearbeitet wird. Durch diesen Vorgang wird dein Ton besonders gut (auch innerlich) zentriert und alle folgenden Vorgänge des Drehens werden deutlich vereinfacht. Dies führt zu präziseren Formen.
We first deal with the shape of the cylinder. Only when we master these can we become spherical or bulbous.
Then it’s time to shape a bowl … und bei 1kg Ton kann daraus schon eine Salatschüssel werden!
2 Tage / jeweils 5 Stunden or 4 Tage / jeweils 2,5 Stunden
Am zweiten Tag werden die Ergebnisse abgetrimmt und mit Engobe gestaltet. Hier werden dir noch einige Techniken gezeigt, die beim Arbeiten mit Engobe zu interessanten gestalterischen Ergebnissen führen.

We are happy to support you in the course in English as well.
This course is aimed at experienced throwers (16+). So if you have already taken a pottery course on the wheel and have improved through practice, then this course is right for you.
Otherwise, why not attend a weekend course for beginners. There, your skills will be addressed individually and you can definitely improve your turning skills.
Your clothes should give you freedom of movement and allow you to get dirty. Your fingernails should be a short, practical length.
The price includes firing and glazing the finished products with a transparent glaze. If you do not want a colored glaze, then there will be no additional costs .
Your finished pieces can be picked up from us about four to six weeks later. We will inform you via email as soon as they have been fired. We ask for your understanding that we can't store the fired pieces longer than six weeks. Uncollected items are given away to passersby.
In case of cancellation :: Cancellations can be made in writing via email up to seven days before the course start date, and the course fee (less the processing fee) will be refunded. If you cancel up to 24 hours before the course start date, you will receive a 50% refund. A €5 processing fee will be charged for each cancelled place. Missed course dates cannot be rescheduled.
