Glasuren sind dir zu eintönig? Du willst auch mit Farbe und Muster auf bewundernswerte Weise verzieren?
The various engobe design techniques can in principle be used on any ceramic product: on vessels, sculptures, plates, ... regardless of whether they are made by hand or by using a potter´s wheel.
In this workshop you will applied engobe* to leather-hard clay. This is practiced on prepared tiles.
As the main product you will decorate a plate.
Und was passiert genau in diesem Gestaltungskurs?
At the beginning: the production of engobes  – Coloring clay slip – easy and safe. Without measuring devices!
The different ways of engobe-design:
1. The use of brushes and/or sponges.
2. styles and techniques: from blobs to the most precise ornaments:
Paper-stencil-technique
transfer-technique
3. sgraffito: a technique in which beautiful two-tone designs can be achieved by scratching and scoring.
We glaze all works with transparent glaze for you and you can take them home with you after 4-6 weeks.

*The engobe is a generic term for a thin clay mineral mass that is used to color or coat ceramic products.
We use engobes in slip form (= clay diluted with water).Â

In this ceramics course you will learn about the many ways you can use engobe on your ceramics.
In diesem Engoben-Gestaltungs-Kurs werden wir auf Fliesen die Techniken erproben und umsetzen. Am Ende kannst du auf einem (von uns zur Verfügung gestellten) Teller deine eigene Idee mit den erlernten Techniken umsetzen.Â
We glaze your products with transparent glaze.
The course fee includes the material costs (clay, transparent glaze).
Your finished pieces kannst du ungefähr vier bis sechs Wochen nach dem Engoben-Keramik-Kurs bei uns abholen. Wir informieren dich via Email, sobald sie gebrannt sind. Wir bitten um Verständnis, dass wir die fertigen Werke for longer than six weeks .
In case of cancellation: A course registration can be canceled free of charge in writing via email up to seven days before the start of the course. If you cancel up to 24 hours before the start of the course, you will receive 50% of the course amount back. Missed course dates can not be replaced.
We update our course dates regularly.
