Throwing ceramics on the potter´s wheel – Tasting
After a short introduction, you will immediately sit down at the potter's wheel in this pottery course.
You will learn how to center clay and create a vessel.
To "open the clay" and "pull up" walls you will learn as well.
Together with a maximum of six people you get intensive guidance by two trainers who stand by your side and help you gain confidence in throwing on the potter´s wheel. We can also hold the course in German and English if requested.
In 1 x 2,5 hours we guarantee that you will create at least two vessels. The price includes firing and glazing the finished products with a transparent glaze. If you do not want a colored glaze, then there will be no additional costs .
We trim your work for you. This means that the next day, clay is cut away from the turned pieces while they are still leather-hard, and they are given a lovely foot as a base.
You can have us glaze your vessels with a colored glaze for €4 per piece.

We are happy to support you in English during the course.
Your clothing should allow you freedom of movement and be able to get dirty. Your fingernails should be short and practical. Our courses at the spinning wheel are also open to children and teenagers aged 12 and up – upon presentation of ID – but only if accompanied by an adult. Teenagers aged 16 and over may attend the course alone.
The price includes firing and glazing the finished products with a transparent glaze. If you do not want a colored glaze, then there will be no additional costs .
In all courses, the workplace and tools are cleaned and tidied up together during the last 10-15 minutes.
Your finished pieces can be picked up from us about four to six weeks later. We will inform you via email as soon as they have been fired. We ask for your understanding that we can't store the fired pieces longer than six weeks. Uncollected items are given away to passersby.
In case of cancellation :: Cancellations can be made in writing via email up to seven days before the course start date, and the course fee (less the processing fee) will be refunded. If you cancel up to 24 hours before the course start date, you will receive a 50% refund. A €5 processing fee will be charged for each cancelled place. Missed course dates cannot be rescheduled.
